Spooktacular Night Launch – Volunteers Needed!
The Spooktacular Night Launch Event is this Saturday (19 October) from 4:00-10:00 PM. Set-up will be from 3:00-4:00 to ensure we get everything in place for a 4:00 PM start.
Treats: Be sure to bring a bowl with some treats for those youngsters who will be Costumed-up at our event.
For hot dogs, we'll need volunteers to bring: a couple packages of hot dogs, hot dog buns, some ketchup and mustard, relish, potato chips, napkins, plates, charcoal, lighter fluid, and cooking implements. So far Chris L and Dave K are bringing some hot dogs and buns, Dave K is also bringing Charcoal , lighter fluid, large aluminum pan, and cooking implements. We still are in need of ketchup, mustard and napkins.
For chili, we need at least a couple members to cook-up their favorite recipe. We'll also need bowls, spoons, and napkins. Don H is bringing his signature chili.
So far it looks like winds will be out of the south (6-9 mph) which is perfect for having the RC Pavilion for our launch location. NOTE: If we do not launch from the pavilion, due to wind conditions, we'll need a charcoal grill, tables and canopies to hang lights from. Dave K is bringing a small grill and large table
Let me (Dave K) know it you can bring any of the above items. If there's anything I forgot, please be sure to mention it.
Happy Rocketeering!!
Secretary Dave
