At this evening's meeting, we discussed the upcoming park launch scheduled for Saturday June 13, and established that enough club members were going to be present to run a safe launch. Therefore, as long as it is not raining, the launch will be held as scheduled. As always, please check stlouisrocketry.com for status updates before going to the park.
Setup will begin around 8:30 am and we plan to start flying around 9:00 am. Launches typically last until early afternoon, as long as people have rockets to fly. The more people who can help set up and tear down, the easier it is on everyone.
Please note that due to our insurance regulations, only current members of the National Association of Rocketry or Tripoli Rocketry Association are permitted to fly rockets at our launches. If you are not a member of one of these two organizations, you can still bring your rockets to the park, but a NAR or Tripoli member will have to supervise the preparation of your rocket and then fly it for you using our launch equipment. NAR membership can be obtained online at http://www.nar.org/. Membership is not required if you just want to watch the flights, though.
We should have a good turnout this month, so we look forward to seeing everyone at the park!
